Radiology

Four registered Radiology Technologists staff the Carrington Health Center Radiology department.  One of the three Mammography Technologists is also a Registered Ultrasonographer.  In order to maintain a registry status each technologist is required to attend continuing education.  This helps them stay abreast of new procedures and changes made in their field.  A registered technologist is available at Carrington Health Center 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

MeritCare Radiologists read and interpret all x-rays and procedures done in the Radiology department.  The radiologists are also available at the health center on Tuesdays to do specialized studies requiring an on-site physician.  If a Radiologist’s opinion is needed at any other time, our films can be sent to MeritCare by teleradiology and a report will be called to our facility by the on-call Radiologist within an hour.

The Radiology Technologists take great pride in offering the following procedures at Carrington Health Center:

  • Routine radiology
  • Assisting the Radiologist with special studies, i.e. fluoroscopy (esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines), arthrograms, venograms and voiding
  • Cystourethrograms
  • Mammography to include biopsies
  • CT scanning
  • Ultrasound, including abdominal, obstetrical, and vascular
  • EKG’s
